A former investment Analyst and Stockbroker, Marty Byrd joins Historic Charleston Properties with not only an investment approach to Low Country real estate, but a keen interest in how architecture enhances lifestyle aesthetically and functionally. She particularly excels at helping families new to Charleston discover the most suitable location with regard to schools, interests, and activities, whether it is Downtown's historic urbanism, I'on's neo-traditional convenience, Sullivan's summer village quaintness, Daniel Island's energy, or any of the low country’s unique and diverse lifestyles.
Marty has developed an understanding of the demands of old and new construction in real estate as she has restored a plantation house and outbuildings, renovated several ocean and waterfront properties, and built in Mt. Pleasant's Old Village.
A native North Carolinian who has lived in Charleston for 25 years, she is active in wildlife and billfish conservation and has enjoyed volunteer work with Porter-Gaud, Ashley Hall, and Sullivan’s Island Schools, and fundraising for various interests. |
